Each garden is different and requires different specialisms, so because of this Jackie Gough Garden Design provide a variety of services that will ensure all of our clients have their own needs fulfilled in a way that suits them best.
The gardening services we provide include:
Throughout the team, we have extensive knowledge of trees and planting. Therefore, we know which plants like certain situations and conditions. We are also able to think long term, as we consider how the plants we use will flourish and look in the long run as your new garden settles in and matures.
Often clients want a completely new garden concept, and through the use of different landscaping techniques this is made possible… patios, brickwork, steps, driveways, pergolas, sheds, water features and raised beds to name a few, are some of the many options for your garden.
For many families, grass is an important part of their garden and we provide the option of both natural and artificial surfaces.
Although they can look lovely as a mainstay in your garden, trees often take up a lot of much needed space and may need either removing or reducing, so if this is something you require, we are able to undertake this work for you. Planting trees, either young or mature is often a main part of a new garden and they provide excellent structure. Again we can arrange to get this done.
Part of our job is to utilise the space in a client’s garden to maximum effect. Before we can do this we often have to clear any redundant features, where the space could be used much more effectively. Even if clients do not want the whole garden cleared we can optimise what is there already by removing old, often unwanted features or planting, and keeping anything that can be re-used or incorporated into the new design. After clearance most clients cannot believe how much bigger their gardens feel!
On going garden development
It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes things do go wrong. Gardens and plants are not an exact science and nature can sometimes throw out problems that we cannot foresee or control. However, if this were to happen, please do let us know and we will help to rectify the problem if at all possible.
